Having problems with your Air Conditioners ?

I installed a Proplumber pressure switch 30/50. I also installed a new gauge. I have had difficulty adjusting the switch so it will shut off. I have 31 psi in my tank and I know I have to adjust it to 2 psi over the tank but which way do you turn the adjustment. It only has one instead of two adjustments like my old switch. The pump kicks on like crazy and I am losing my mind and sleep with that thing kicking on every minute. HELP!!

Answers :

Not sure if this will help, but I tried to research this a bit and one fellow who has the same unit said to adjust the screw downward to increase the pressure. If it's normal threading, that would mean to adjust it clockwise, from my understanding. I think increasing the adjustment might help you out...
\015\012Anyway, good luck and hope this lets you sleep better!

I have two (2) singel switches next to each other that turn on the lights in the garage and the other the lights outside. I bought two (2) 1595-SWTTRWCC4's and I would like to know how to install them. Each one has two black wires coming out of the Pass & Seymour. Out of the wall I see one red and one black wire going to one existing switch, and two additional black wires going to the other switch. Ground is no problem. How do I wire the both ? Thanks Guido

I installed a ceiling fan in two bedrooms and when i removed the old light fixture there was a red wire capped off. I have been given a old Martin Industries Edison 25 dehumidifier, but have no manual. Question 1: The collection tank has a short plastic tube connected at bottom side of tank via threaded connection. Looks like water would drain out of the tank so how do I stop that? Want it to collect and shut off when full. Question 2: There's no back cover - metal coiling is exposed.Should it have a back cover? Should I improvise one and if so with what sort of material?

WOW, you do have an antique. Martin hasn't made those since back in the 80's. Martin Industries has been out of business now, for 5+ years. Since it's missing some parts and there's no Owners Manual available, I'd recommend not using it, because of t ... Air Conditioners

I have a York 90% furnace that's about 8 years old. Appeared to have a bad pressure switch but I just installed a new one and still get 3 amber lights. The burner box and combustion hoses are clear. When I disconnect the tube to the burner box from the pressure switch it starts up/ignites fine. But when it is attached to the switch it will not start.

I've installed a Hunter 44550 thermostat. When I programmed it to cool and turned it on, the heat came on. I then switched the two wires I had running between the RH and RC switch and now nothing comes on: not the heat, not the fan, not cold. I know I just have the wires mixed up, but am not sure which ones to switch. I have a 5 wire setup.

I have to replace the start/run capacitor (97F9971 - Duel Capacitor/ 50, 7.5 370 VAC). I have marked the terminals before removing and purchased the new capacitor. The new capacitor has minor difference with the old one. The hermatic has 3 terminals, The Fan has two terminals The Compressor (C) has 4 terminals. Now in the old unit, two wires were connected to two opposite terminals on C, one in Herm and one in Fan. My question is: How will I know which terminal to connect in the new one

All the terminals are connected together so it won't matter which terminal you use, just as long as you have the Herm, Com, and Fan wires correct. Hope this helps! ... Air Conditioners

Replacement Repairs My air conditioning unit is slightly less than three years old. It quit working so I called the business that installed it. He found that there was a blockage in the necking device on the evaporator coil increasing liquid pressure 40 PSI.
