Having problems with your Air Conditioners ?

Hi I have a Lennox heat and air conditioner roof top on my unit. What's happening is,the heat turns on for a about 10 minutes then shuts off, the only way to turn it back on is to turn off the thermostat, then turn it back on, but will keep doing the same. Oh and one other thing, the filter warning is showing on the thermostat, could it be as simple as changing the filters? Any suggestions anyone?

The heat pump is not working properly. i think the problem is in the switch mechanism. when the heat is on and the thermostat is turned up it blows cold air. sometimes the compressor turns on and off. if you turn the other switch to the off position, then turn the thermostat up then turn it back to heat. it will blow hot air. if you then turn the thermostat down, wait till it turns off, then turn it back up, it will blow room temp air and sometimes the compressor will turn on.

Hi,\012The problem may be the switch, but it sounds more likely that the contactor in the outdoor unit is bad and is not making all of the time...then the compressor will not always run...\012To figure it out you will need to catch it at ... Air Conditioners

I have a honeywell PA404A pressure control switch on my home gas steam heating system. I'm having a problem with the switch turning off the system. It will only come back on if I turn the top screw all the way out, then back down to approx 5psi. At this point the heat will turn on but when the thermostat shuts down the system it will not turn back on when calling for heat unless I adjust the screw again. Also, the switch will only turn on the system when set at 5 on the dial on the inside. Any i

This may be caused by accumulation of sludge in the steam trap (the looped tube that connects the pressuretrol unit to the boiler). the sludge restricts the pressure from reaching the diaphragm in the pressuretrol unit. So it gets a false reading. ... Air Conditioners

Wall A/C only SPORADICALLY blowing cold air. Turn it off and back on, you can feel it's cold, but only if you're 5 inches from it. After a couple of minutes, fan is only blowing warm air again. Vacuumed front of A/C, still doing the same thing. Filter is clean. It is over 100 degrees outside with very low humidity the last few days.(Los Angeles) ; since it's a wall a/c, of course 1/2 of it is outside in the heat. No heat My 7500 zoneline will not provide heat consistantly. I can unpplug the main power source to the control boards and plug it back in, ,and I will then get heat. If I turn down the thermostat (80 to 70), then turn it back up, I do not get heat again, only cool blower air. Is one of my control boards bad? Thanks.

It sounds like it could be the tstat itself. Unless you use a voltage meter to take some readings it's hard to determine if it is a board. The best thing for you to do is remove the tstat from the system and manually operate it with a jumper wire t ... GE Air Conditioners

I turn the thermostat down at night. When I get up in the morning I turn it back up. The heat kicks on for a minute or two then the unit starts blowing colder air. If I turn the thermostat to the OFF position, wait until I hear all blowers stop, then turn it back to the ON position, it will start blowing HOT air again. Some times I have to perform this cycle 3 times to get it to keep blowing hot air. Any ideas as to what is shutting the furnace off? Thanks, Wayne

On Sunday evening we turn our heat on and then on Monday we turned the air conditioning back on and it won't turn back on.
