Having problems with your Air Conditioners ?

Hi, just replaced the capacitor thinking that would solve the problem but it appears it did not. The motor outside would kick on the unit inside would kick on but the blower motor inside works sometimes and wont other times. Basically, the unit will work just fine all day then we notice the house is getting warm, check the inside unit and everything is running fine but the blower motor is not circulating the air. I have a goodman a30-10 unit. I read where some people said the relay could be bad

Turn off the power to the air handler(indoor unit). Remove the access panel. From the motor, trace the wires back to the fan relay. One wire will probably trace back to the incoming power terminal. The other is the fan relay. It could be intermittent thermostat signal to the relay or a bad relay.
To verify if the fan motor is good, you can remove the one wire from the relay and re-attach it to the other side of the incoming power terminal. If it runs OK there, replace the relay. If it does not run, replace the blower motor.

AC Condenser motor will stop at 1pm but inside unit is still running but no AC. If I turn the AC unit breaker unit off and then an hour later turn it back on. The unit runs fine all day until 1pm. Had a tech out and he checked the system and it's fine. He said I may have a thermostat problem and he would need to see the manual. My theromastat is programable (Carrier, 4 zone, Comfort II) with 3 remote temp sensors. How do I troubleshoot this?

Blower fan in the inside unit tries to turn on but wont. It can be turned manually and air conditioner comes on and runs fine. The " squirrel " cage spins completely freely and is not sticky or jammed. Is the motor bad or is it a run capacitor. Model number of inside unit is a49-15

I have a ruud model no. ubhc-17j11nfd and i am having a problem with my heat. when the heat does come on, the thermostat says it is on auxilary heat. the blower in the inside unit does not run. i changed the capacitor and now i get a really loud humming noise. the motor still does not spin. but when i spin the motor by hand then it seems to work fine.(the humming goes away) this happens every time when the heat goes off then back on. the only way to solve this is to keep the fan on constantly.

Have a package unit that is tripping the circuit breaker early in the morning, around 5 a.m. each day for the past few days. The blower fan motor was recently replaced, but it seems to work fine, all day in fact, after resetting the breaker. (After letting rest for a bit before resetting the breaker.) Why would it only trip in the morning? It cuts off and on fine all other times, but only in the morning does it trip.

AMCOR 24,000 BTU split system. Worked fine two years, then today it had no power. Checked circuit breaker, it had popped. Reset CB and went to inside unit - would not turn on or off with remote or hard button. Checked wiring with an electrical tester, and wires to outside unit hot, as well as inside unit. No flashing codes, nothing. Unit won't turn on,even with power. Is there a fuse somewhere in the inner unit or outer unit?

I have an old RUUD central AC unit that started blowing hot air. I noticed some straining noise coming from my a/c unit today. I have a Ruud Acheiver 90, I'm having some problems, the rollout (burner) limit switches are opening, and there is an electrical burning smell. My carrier air conditioner is not working. We have two exterior units. One for upstairs (smaller) and one for the downstairs(larger unit). I have a Coleman roof mounted AC unit on a travel trailer. The unit model is 83338715. The unit just blows cool air not cold air like it should. I was told to replace the "Hard Start Capacitor" and "PTCR Start Device" which I did. This did not remedy the problem. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Could the problem be the "Compressor Run Capacitor"? Reason being that I hear no change in the blower sound when the unit kicks on???
